The first press briefing was conducted by WAR on 09 February 2010 at the Sindh High Court to recognise the brave struggle for justice of three survivors WAR was providing legal aid to, celebrate legal victories in their cases, highlight gaps in laws and the judicial system and demand state-sponsored rehabilitative support systems. The press briefing was attended by the lawyers who fought the legal battle including Barrister-at-Law Faisal Siddiqi, Advocate Javaid Burqi, Advocate Farida Moten and Advocate Asia Muneer. Among other prominent speakers was Advisor to the Chief Minister Sindh Ms. Sharmila Farooqi, District Deputy Public Prosecutor (DDPP) Mr. Abdul Maroof, and senior lawyer and human rights activist Mr. Zia Awan from Lawyers for Human Rights and Legal Aid (LHRLA).
A second press briefing was conducted by WAR on 18 February 2011 at Karachi Press Club to highlight the statistics on rape crimes and sexual violence in Karachi. In this press briefing gender disparities among the judiciary and legal fraternity, male rape and child sexual abuse were addressed.
Both press briefings received coverage from local and national press.
