Youth Component

WAR’s RSSP Youth Component focuses on 10- to 14-year-old children enrolled in primary and secondary schools in Karachi. This age group is of significance because it is most vulnerable to abuse; however, interventions at this age can help children protect themselves from adults who may try to take advantage of the physical and emotional changes these children are going through.

The Component is designed for primary and secondary school teachers. Teachers can play a central role in child sexual abuse prevention and they can also help promote nonviolence within families and communities. This component includes trainings on Identifying, Preventing and Responding to CSA. Purpose of these trainings is to equip teachers with skills that will help them identify and respond to child sexual abuse in their class rooms, schools and communities.
