As
a member of Young Friends of WAR, you can:
Be
a writer
Be part of our creative team and contribute articles and write-ups
for our semi annual newsletter or other national publications,
magazines and newspapers, on various topics related to women’s
issues.
Be
a web developer
You can update our website and gain practical experience in
working with graphics and expressing your creativity in designing.
You can also contribute to our multimedia library by designing
presentations on various topics, which are then shown to the
public and other concerned organizations as a part of WAR’s
awareness- raising programs.
Be
involved in performing arts
We encourage young scriptwriters and actors to act in and
present plays and other such activities on behalf of WAR,
either as a fundraiser or with the motive of spreading awareness
among the public, using theatre as a tool to project pertinent
social issues.
During school terms, students can volunteer a certain number
of hours at WAR and experience the practical side of working
with despondent survivors. This also allows you to be involved
in the rehabilitation process of survivors under the guidance
of WAR team members. Our platform will allow students to put
their skills and creativity to good, and will encourage them
to learn from a challenging and unique work experience.
Observe
legal proceedings of cases in courts
For those young people who are interested in pursuing a career
in law, court visits are an excellent stepping towards making
this decision. One can be an observer in court cases that
WAR handles and gain practical knowledge of prosecuting criminal
cases.
